Talk About Me – Please.

Many people say they only want word-of-mouth business but don’t do the work to make it happen. It takes thought, planning and doing to become your best marketing plan. Word-of-mouth is my primary source of business acquisition. But it didn’t “just happen.” I had to produce and be seen by many. I had to demonstrate my talents, views and expertise over and over.

In the beginning of my career, as an Artist Representative, Studio Manager and, finally, representative of the Creative Black Book, I demonstrated that I was an educated and talented force in marketing creative entrepreneurs — through dependability, speaking and participating in industry organizations, while doing good work.

  • You must be visible to your market.
  • You must be “the best” to that market.
  • You must do great work for that market.
  • You must stay connected to that market.

PEOPLE STARTED TO TALK ABOUT ME
Next came an advanced degree that created a new audience of friends, faculty and colleagues. New understanding of talent and marketing followed.

PEOPLE CONTINUED TO TALK ABOUT ME
Finally, my nearly nine years of teaching at Brooks Institute, while running Marketing Creatives, has continued to bring me the brightest and best clients — photographers, visual journalists, graphic designers and filmmakers. These creatives experienced me as a teacher and hired me as their consultant based on their knowledge of me as a person — a person who could make a difference on their careers!

PEOPLE KEEP TALKING ABOUT ME
Grow your word-of-mouth and keep it coming. It takes a PLAN. Let's work together and get people to talk about you.
